Mike Woods is a popular meteorologist for Fox 5 WNYW in New York City and reports the weather for Good Day New York.

Mike was born in Sacramento, California on January 28th.  He attended college at the University of California at Davis and earned a degree in Rhetoric and Communications.  While there, he also developed a strong background in meterology.  He currently holds a seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society (AMS).

His first weather anchor job was in eastern North Carolina, and before moving to the Big Apple, Mike spent some time giving hot forecasts in the deserts of Phoenix, Arizona. He was voted hottest anchor in America according to People Magazine's December 1, 2014 issue.

In July 2010, Mike competed in the Nautica New York City Triathlon and finished in under 3 hours! Being very athletic, he enjoys racquetball, biking, hiking, snow skiing, water skiing, working out at the gym and traveling.

On top of everything, Mike shares his heart and devotes much of his time to charities with local schools and children's organizations.
